Even the Atlanta Falcons and wide receiver Julio Jones have agreed that a tenth, $66m (#53m) fully guaranteed contract expansion with $64 (#51.5m) because immediately.
The Falcons as well as jones have been working toward a contract for decades.
Owner Arthur Blank said in March that the team needed a deal done prior to training camp, even while general director Thomas Dimitroff set a objective of the beginning of the Falcons’ season, which is Sunday.
Jones, 30, had been set to make $21m (#17m) over the following two seasons in his current contract. Jones and the Falcons are currently tied together for five years with the three-year extension .
Jones is coming – and fifth in a row – after grabbing 113 passes to get a yards and eight touchdowns last season.
He remains the NFL’s all-time pioneer in career receiving yards per game (96.7).
The Falcons open the season against the Vikings at Minnesota on Sunday.
